I grew up listening to Whitney and now she’s gone. It’s very sad to grow up with childhood idols and to see such greatness pass away. This video of Whitney performing the Star Spangled Banner I think is still one of the best renditions out there. I distinctly remember watching this on tv live when I was 7 years old and being in such awe of her effortless ability to sing the high notes.
R.I.P Whitney Houston. You will be missed.
