My latest cover editorial for Carbon Copy Issue #11 featuring Ryan Taylor is finally out!
So the backstory is that Ryan Taylor is kinda hot. No really, he is - literally. We shot this story in August on my rooftop in Downtown LA and I think that day there was a record heatwave of breaking over 100 degrees. Lyndzi Trang just kept on styling Ryan with EVERY layer imaginable and Ryan took it like a champ.
It’s crazy how a guy of his young age has already been shot by some of the biggest fashion photographers in the world and has walked for fashion lines such as Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, and Dolce & Gabbana (just to name a few) and yet was so awesomely professional, nice, and easy to work with. Oh and yes, he’s good looking too.
To create the look of an outdoor studio, my poor assistants had to rig in extreme heat a 20’ x 20’ silk overhead as well as a 12’ x 12’ silk backdrop and used about 30 x 35lb sandbags to secure the backdrops rigged precariously on the roof. Ah good times.
Thank you to everyone for your hard work and sweat (literally) into this shoot!
