How it all started…
Almost 3 years ago, I randomly met Carmen Chan one night at a photo seminar given by Andrew Southam about “Finding your Vision” and basically that coincidence of meeting her set my photography path that wouldn’t have happened if we hadn’t met. Andrew went around the room asking everyone what their vision was and it felt like everyone had an answer except for me. I had no clue what my vision was other than that I wanted to photograph fashion and portraits. Andrew said my vision was too generic and I stumbled what I really wanted to do. However afterwards, Carmen came up to me and introduced herself and she wanted to do fashion too. I told her that I was just leaving the film production world and venturing into becoming a photographer and I was interning for a fashion photographer. Carmen was doing exactly the same thing! What?! It was too coincidence to not become friends.
We eventually became roommates and shared a photo studio. This week I was organizing my polaroids when I found these. These polaroids of us were the first light tests we had ever taken!
Can you tell it’s on expired polaroid film ha? Aww memories!
