Good morning! A month ago, I was in Overland Park, Kansas for a few days and I randomly decided to do a test shoot. I don’t think Kansas is a hot spot for fashion models but somehow I got lucky and was paired up with Karly McNeil, a 15 year old freshman newly signed to her agency.
For the shoot, I kept the session simple since I didn’t know what to expect. I shot Karly with no makeup on and had her wear her own clothes since I figured we’d take some quick portraits around the park.
Karly surprised me. She was everything adorable, personable, and bubbly a 15 yr old should be but instantly transformed the moment I started photographing her. Plus my experimenting with hard lighting and shadows I would say added to the dramatic flair but seriously, it was all her.
Yes the girl may look depressed here but she sure isn’t in real life! Best personality ever! I found out that she’s signed with Click NY but not signed in Los Angeles.
